Late Summer in The Hamptons

Stories Destinations Late Summer in The Hamptons

For those lucky enough to end their Summer break in The Hamptons, The Invisible Collection shares its favourites go-tos in Southampton, East Hampton, Bridgehampton, Amagansett and Sag Harbor

Avoid Friday night traffic by taking the Long Island Rail train, full of chic youngsters and beautiful girls sipping on Rosé, unless you prefer the Ubercopter.

Get lucky and be invited for a full-moon Clam Bake on the beach.

Start the next day with a Cappuccino or Hot Chocolate standing at the bar in Southampton’s Italian eatary Sant Ambroeus.

Cross the road to L’Objet à La Plage, and see 60 of Christopher Adams’ flora and fauna ceramics—a representation of his passion for peculiar plants and animals found in the wild. Adams started making ceramic work at the ceramics studio of Harvard, where he graduated in organismic and evolutionary biology.

If you missed the Southampton Sweat festival on 20th August, an outdoor bootcamp style training, catch up for lost time and join Hollywood’s A-list high-intensitivity interval cardio and strength workout : Barry’s Bootcamp.

Have lunch at Bobby Van’s Steakhouse in Bridgehampton.
Drive on to East Hampton and visit RAC’s x Theory pop-up shop from August 17th – August 31st for young and emerging fashion brands and art, including Alix of Bohemia, Bow and Arrow, Stefano Maroni, Mestiza and more…

A couple of miles away in Amagansett is French Presse for summer house perfect bed linen and home accessories (including beautiful cashmere and linen from the Italian brand Society).

Drive straight to Sag Harbor to watch the sunset from the marina while enjoying an on-the-go fresh lobster roll, New England clam chowder and baked clams at The Dock House.

End the day with a yummyllicious Sunday or fab icecream from Big Olaf in Sag Harbor.

And if you forgot your dress for The Hampton Classic Horse Show; Net-à-Porter is offering same-day delivery to NYC and the Hamptons ! Order before 10am and you will have it delivered for dinner.

Don’t forget, The Invisible Collection ships worldwide… Below a selection of our favourite pieces for our dream house in Long Island.
