Career. After 15 years as Art Director for Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, Jérôme Faillant-Dumas founded Love Editions. Agency for which he designs furniture and works on Interior Design projects for private clients, stores and restaurants. In parallel, he works on the branding of major luxury brands and is specialized in designing packaging for them. Jérôme Faillant-Dumas is renowned for walking the tight rope between classicism and modernity.

Signature Style. From Jacques Helleu at Chanel he learnt the importance of coherence and being in charge of a brand’s image. His timelessly classic pieces have a taste of perfection, whilst remaining tantalisingly daring. Straw marquetry and alabaster alongside plaster and plexiglass. A strong, gentle and thoroughly Parisian modernity.

He loves. The clean lines of the 1930’s and 1940’s such as the work of Jean-Michel Franck. Simple unpretentious lines, beautifully laid out spaces, furniture that is resolutely contemporary and affirmably timeless.

Showstoppers. For his sofa and fittingly comfortable, velvet Elephant armchair, just the right blend of audacity and classical references.

What’s up. The metamorphosis of the RTL studios, the rejuvenation of the Grand Véfour under the direction of the starred chef Guy Martin, and the spectacular re-invention of a house in London.
