Nomad St. Moritz

Stories News Nomad St. Moritz

The Invisible Collection’s debut exhibition at the exclusive fair is all about iconic designs and French chic. And a touch of middle-eastern delights too…

The Invisible Collection will exhibit at Nomad St. Moritz – the exclusive, international fair for collectible design and contemporary art – and will present “Le Salon”, an immersive installation that conjures up a timeless atmosphere reminiscent of chic Parisian parties, and celebrates the pioneering creative patronage of the Noailles.

Just as Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles commissioned the emerging talents of their time to create stunning works for their Parisian residence by Jean-Michel Franck, The Invisible Collection will bring today’s relevant designs together in an elegant, distinctive display within the interiors of Chesa Planta, an extraordinary Swiss residence, host to the 2020 edition of Nomad.

The curated selection of designs will include iconic furniture by our star designers as well as never-before-seen pieces by a new roster of talents. In the ground floor galerie of Chesa Planta – a beautiful 16th-century hallway – The Invisible Collection will create the perfect setting for Nomad’s guests and design connoisseurs.

The galerie’s white walls and stone flooring will be the elegant backdrop for some iconic armchairs : the asymetrie by Pierre Yovanovitch, the Koumac by Thierry Lemaire, the Djo by Charles Zana, the AKO by Ron Arad for OKA, and the Minotaure by Pierre Augustin Rose. Debuting alongside these classics will be a beautiful rug created by Saudi female architect Shahad Alazzaz, edited by ARTinD in collaboration with The Invisible Collection.

Le Salon will introduce a selection of new pieces on display for the first time. The grand Ondule Full Length Mirror by Jérôme Faillant-Dumas, the Bout De Canapé Side Tables by Patrice Dangel, Maison Intègre’s vase Ya Woto and Echo Lamp — made in Burkina Faso — and a luxurious one-of-a-kind astrakhan rug by Michel & Daniel Bismut, specially commissioned for the show. Osanna Visconti’s delicate bronze tables alongside a selection of fine objects will add the final embellishing touch to the space that invites guests, collectors and art lovers alike to take a seat, relax and share their passion for design.

Nomad St. Moritz runs from 6th to 9th February: be the first to discover our iconic designs on show, and shop them now on The Invisible Collection.
