As architects, Michel and Daniel Bismut tend to strip everything down to the bare essential. Since their agency Bismut & Bismut, opened in 1985, the two brothers create together private interiors and commercial projects with lean lines and smooth movement. Rigorous spaces balanced with sensual material plays, swath of solid colours and graphic furniture make up the essence of their style.
Michel and Daniel Bismut have conceived their space as an immersive experience. The resounding walls, punctuated by geometrical cut-outs, pairing plaster with black coating and texturised paint, infuse a picturesque effect to the room. The console, the bookshelf and the bench, all integrated into the whole space architecture unfold into sculptural shapes. In the centre of the lounge, a conversational bench with spread out lines invites to contemplation and reflection.
