Sotheby’s: We Meet Again!

Stories News Sotheby’s: We Meet Again!

The Invisible Collection is teaming up once again with Sotheby’s for a star-studded Evening Sale which celebrates creativity and innovation.

For the third time in a row, our team took over Sotheby’s gallery and Preferred Room and furnished them with a specially-curated selection of iconic designs. The collaboration marks the reopening of the revered auction house after months of lockdown and the new format for its summer program.

The one-off Evening Sale -scheduled on 28th July- will present over 500 years of creativity and innovation, bringing together hundreds of stunning artworks, including a rare Rembrandt’s self-portrait that has collectors in excited expectation. This 1632 self-portrait is one of only three remaining in private hands and the only one ever likely to come to market…

For this truly special occasion, we embraced the space and envisioned an elegant, warm respite filled with a series of selected pieces which best represent creativity and innovation. The lounge area is beautifully appointed with new works by Pierre Augustin Rose whilst the smaller areas showcase some elegant designs by Charles Zana. Some exquisite vases and stools by Maison Intègre punctuate the space, their polished-bronze surfaces reflecting the striking beauty of the artworks on the walls.

For this one-off Evening Sale, we brought a one-off piece by design master Ron Arad, the AKO chair, a reinterpretation of the Washakie chair by OKA, sheathed in a very “Arad-like” shining copper and stainless steel cloak. The chair is sold exclusively through The Invisible Collection.

Pierre Augustin Rose

Pierre Augustin Rose is an association of styles belonging to three singular personalities; Pierre Bénard, Augustin Deleuze and Nina Rose. Simple lines, innovative design, and classic inspirations: the three talented designers know how to connect their trained eye for antiques to today’s new shapes. Past and present never collide in their designs; rather, they blend in a very personal style, best translated as an ode to everlasting modernity transformed with confident audacity. Each piece of furniture is imbued with a timeless feel whilst paying homage to the 20th Century’s great masters. Beautiful lacquers and fabrics, impeccable quality and refined details are the hallmark of an eclectic collection that defines the new classics of this century.
