Spotted On Ad Intérieurs: Pierre Gonalons

Stories News Spotted On Ad Intérieurs: Pierre Gonalons

Some of our favorite designers are on show in Paris; and their best designs are available on The Invisible Collection!

To celebrate its 10th edition, AD Intérieurs staged a wonderful exhibition in Paris, inviting 13 design and architecture studios to create some original liveable spaces. Among the designers in the spotlight, five names should sound familiar, as they are part of our roster of talents: Bismut & Bismut, Humbert & Poyet, Atelier Tristan Auer, Thierry LemairePierre Gonalons and Stéphane Parmentier artistic director of Creations Dragonfly. All of them displayed their usual unsurpassed creativity to conceive the most unexpected dreamlike spaces.

For this year edition, Pierre Gonalons is engaged in a graphic but poetic re-reading of the interior garden as conceived in the 19th century. Embossed wallpaper strips, a tile combining checkers and cabochons as well as striped pearl curtains structure the room, while the scrolls of the sofa and the curves of the interior fountain bring softness to the room. Art Deco geometries and Belle Époque floral motifs blend here to define a Modern Contemporary Style.

Pierre Gonalons

As a designer, decorator, creative director and exhibition designer, Pierre Gonalons offers a comprehensive vision from which he derives his strength. Born in France and immersed in Italian culture, he advocates for a design that incorporates both decorative arts and minimalism. He loves the encounter between past and future, the contrast between flashy and discrete, and, above all else, materials which he spotlights with utmost sobriety.
