Background

Le Berre Vevaud is a design studio created in 2008 by two friends, Raphaël Le Berre and Thomas Vevaud . Raphaël, a Penninghen and Camondo graduate, began his career in New York and then worked for Amar Studio in Paris. After training at the Louvre and at Camondo School, Thomas worked for Gilles and Boissier and subsequently for François Champsaur. Together, they have designed an array of projects including private and commercial properties, and have create elegant spaces imbued with a great sense of detail and a taste for beautiful materials and handmade products. The furniture designed by Raphaël and Thomas is an example of their comprehensive approach to interior design practices, inspired by their shared passion for noble materials and craftsmanship.

Signature Style

Drawing their inspiration from the work of Luis Barragán and Gio Ponti, Raphaël and Thomas create elegant interiors suffused with subtle Art Deco reminiscences. Favoring pure lines, and simple, comfortable shapes, Raphaël and Thomas mix precious woods with lacquered, spalted, waxed materials, enhanced sometimes by the addition of marble and lacquer, or on the contrary, kept in their raw state. Le Berre Vevaud designs are mostly tailor-made, considering the infinite possibilities of materials and colors’ combinations.

Showstoppers

The new furniture collection Empreinte, entirely produced in France, which highlights French craftsmen’s know-how and their skills at making unique creations. The Empreinte collection is made of textures that celebrate opposites: some objects are suffused with a brutalist feel, yet they look refined and precious; a set of timeless designs are marked by an astonishing palette of colors.
