Our Favourite Spots In London

Stories Destinations Our Favourite Spots In London

Here is a selection of our favorite spots in London, for you to discover during PAD and Frieze.

Restaurants

Whether it is for a formal meeting or a casual bite, your palate will surely be just as delighted as your eyes in this selection of places.
A great example of what London has to offer is Hide; flooded with natural daylight and breathtaking wooden interior, this restaurant offers an amazing view of Green Park and delicious food. Go there to have breakfast with your teammates before taking a stroll in the park!
Another great spot for breakfast is Wolseley’s. Their selection is one of our favourites and is always greatly appreciated after a night out with you fellow PAD attendees.
But if you’re looking for a cosier ambiance, head to Scott’s, home to la crème de la crème of London’s art world and delicious seafood dishes. There, you will see and be seen, enjoy impeccable service, and, if you’re lucky, bump into Patrick Perrin, founder of PAD.
If you’re looking for the famous BAFTA networker Charles Finch or Bianca Arivabene and the Christie’s team, you should go to Chucs. This tiny Italian restaurant is a victim of its own success, so if you wish to have dinner there, you should definitely book in advance, as it is a highly coveted place.
If Italian food is not exotic enough for you, you should go to Umu, this Japanese restaurant is the perfect place to hide while eating absolutely delightful Japanese food. The ideal place to celebrate your first Royère, acquired at Jacques Lacoste’s during PAD, or bring your secret date!
For a more festive atmosphere, you can also try out Roka, an award winning Japanese restaurant that serves contemporary Japanese obatayaki cuisine and sushi in striking surroundings. It’s Lily Froehlicher’s favourite restaurant !
If you need a place to spend the perfect day, Connaught Hotel is what you are looking for. Let French Chef Hélène Darroze take care of your diner, the Aman spa soothe your soul and drop in one of its two bars to sip a fresh mint tea or a glass of white wine and immerse yourself in the French speaking environment.
For the perfect ladies’ lunch, head to Isabel, the prettiest restaurant around.

Bars & Tea rooms

To make the most of your free time this week, we have selected the best places to spend an afternoon or an evening in exquisite surroundings.
Sketch was the first to come to our minds, with its incredibly instagrammable interior by Inda Madhavi and its one of a kind afternoon tea, you just can’t miss it during your stay in London. Exotic teas, caviar, scones, champagne… What else do you need?
Are you seeking for some time away from the roar of the city ? Then, enjoy a typically British afternoon tea at Brown’s Hotel. This discreet yet marvellous address is a well kept secret!
During your week here in London, you will probably have some catch up to do with old friends… Be a true Londoner and bring them to the Mount Street Deli for a relaxed hot chocolate. It’s the perfect place to stay incognito… or is it?
If your friends are more into wine than chocolate, you should take them to Comptoir, this wine bar has all you will need, a casual setting, over 2000 bottles of the finest wines to chose from, and a strong French touch!

Shop, see, experience

London is known for its unmistakable style, so should you!
Head to Liberty, London’s most British and chic shopping destination, with an independent and arty spirit we all adore here at The Invisible Collection.
Dover Street Market, also known as DSM is a multi-brand fashion store originally located on Dover Street, in Mayfair. It has now moved to Haymarket, but is still just as stylish! By the way, the Rose Bakery Tea Salon on the last floor is perfect for an improvised afternoon bite.
Although, it’s hard to top 5 Carlos Place. This new arty and disruptive address of Matches Fashion is a futuristic place, combining traditional shopping with digital experience. Imagined by French tech star Ulric Jerôme, you should not miss this truly unique experience!
Don’t forget to head to the Thadeus Ropac Gallery. It is definitely this year’s most exquisite opening. Inside a historic townhouse, this gallery is unlike any other; its wonderful interiors and its carefully curated shows make it a pure London gem!

Members only

London’s members only clubs are truly unique places that have a lot to offer. Fortunately for you, we are members… Who knows, maybe we’ll let you in?
Annabel’s  is not only a world renown night club, it’s also London’s last folly: 70 million pounds were invested in the decoration of this Grade I listed Georgian mansion house.
If you’re feeling nostalgic, you can always go to Oswald’s. Dedicated to the “glorification of Wine”, it is a typical Birley club reference, recalling the style and the taste of a London life long vanished.
The Arts Club is yet another worldly famous private club, right next to PAD, its bars and night club are definitely a must. The Invisible Collection will be hosting a Talk there : Starting and managing a furniture collection, by founder Anna Zaoui.

Wellness & Beauty

Stay gold this week thanks to our favourite spots for sports and beauty care.
Whether you need a pick-me-up morning work out or a relaxing yoga session in the evening, Matt Roberts Gym will have all you need, whether it is equipment or a private coach.
For a blow-dry or a bob cut, your hair will be in good hand at Jo Hansford’s hair salon.
Nails & Brows is a small and humble beauty salon, but their manicure is one of the best you can find in London. You can take our word for it!
For London’s best facials (including on Sundays), call White Room Beauty.
Finally, if you need a great bottle of wine or champagne for the night, email [email protected] from award wining fine wine boutique Hedonism Wines – just 2 minutes away from the PAD.
