A graduate of the French National School of Applied Arts and Crafts, Bruno Moinard began his career in 1979 working on several prestigious projects within Andrée Putman’s agency Ecart. In 1995 he founded his own interior design studio, 4BI & Associés, specialising in outstanding private properties – Chateau Latour in Pauillac , a castle owned by the Pinault family, to name but one – and luxury commercial projects, including the new concept of Cartier boutiques around the world, and Balenciaga headquarters in Paris.
Strong, simple lines; transparency and a love for light, aiming at the essence of things are the hallmarks of Moinard’s work, inspired by his fascination for the sea and the milky alabaster of the coastline of his hometown Dieppe. Warm minimalism, simplicity without austerity, elegance and timelessness define his projects imbued with a luxurious, yet understated feel of French sophistication. All his work is about the art of detail and finish. The use of light is key to all his projects, as lighting creates a sense of space, and shapes the setting.
In 2014, Bruno Moinard launched his first furniture collection, housed in a beautiful gallery in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Près. His bespoke designs, made of refined materials, reflect his haute couture approach and his French culture as well as unparalleled craftsmanship.
