As the old saying goes, “collectors are happy creatures”. Dear collectors, here is one more reason to be happy: Fans for HeART, a charitable auction of one-of-a-kind Duvelleroy fans hosted by The Invisible Collection. Among the thirty-seven fans specially created for this event we picked a few that we hold dear:
“Les mains en éventail” (fingers stretched out), by José Lévy. With his great hands-on approach, the talented and generous artist made this possible by convincing his friends – fashion & design icons – to join in.
“Archimède”, by Pierre Yovanovitch. The AD 100 designer has been with us since our inception, and we knew we could count on him to deliver a lovely, poetic piece.
“Things Happened”, by Yinka Ilori. When London-based, colour obsessed designer applies his vibrant, lively touch to any given object, things do happen…
“Untitled” (aka “Le Rouge et Le Noir”), by Isabel Marant. The fashion princess of French Cool delivers an elegant design that looks as beautiful and effortless as her clothes collections.
Last but not least, “Open Book”, our own fan, a homage to Stephan Zweig, our patron saint to some extent, as we borrowed the name The Invisible Collection from his eponymous, brilliant novel. It will be extremely hard not to bid for it in order to keep it for ourselves…
