Feel The Design

Stories News Feel The Design

Renowned interior architect Tristan Auer launches his first personal furniture collection, now available on The Invisible Collection.

You might not have met him yet, but you have definitely seen his work in five star hotels around the globe, in stunning, secret, rock stars’ villas in Hollywood, London, New York and Mustique Island, and in some exclusive boutiques – namely Cartier and Nina Ricci… Tristan Auer sees himself as an ambassador of a certain French “art de vivre”, and accordingly combines his very personal modern vision with arts and crafts excellence, thus redefining the idea of contemporary luxury.

“I don’t follow the trends, I try to be just myself” – he says when talking about his work. “Today I enjoy the luxury of not being recognised for a specific style. I am free to try any style, and I have several styles I can choose from. My references are about themes, senses, not for the aesthetics, but more for the emotions that the place brings you. It is about a design that you feel without seeing it”.

Born and raised in Aix-en-Provence, Tristan Auer graduated at ESAG-Penninghen; he first joined forces with the Christian Liaigre team, and then Philippe Starck’s. In 2002, he created his own interior design firm in Paris. His extremely rich and aesthetic vision finds its finest expression in vibrant colors, lights and era-mixes, in a never-ending quest for elegance.

Fresh from completing the refurbishing of lavish Parisian Palace Hotel Crillon, as commissioned by architect Aline d’Asmar d’Amman – “This is my dream, to bring history to the 21st century”- and busy with ongoing projects all over the world, Tristan Auer still found the time to join us in London and participate to the talk hosted by The Invisible Collection at The Arts Club, celebrating the launch of his first furniture collection.
