Stories Unique Interiors Parisian Chic

Tour this stunning Parisian apartment with a view of the Eiffel Tower, redecorated by our star designers. Here's how to elevate French chic to new heights.

Paris is a city of wonders, especially when granted the privilege to peek inside a private home renovated by some of our star designers. We were invited to tour this fabulous apartment in a picture-perfect location overlooking some of the most iconic Parisian landmarks. The view from the tall windows is ultra-scenic; however, it’s what’s inside that will take one’s breath away. Like most traditional Parisian apartments, this property presented a few challenges, specifically preserving some of its original architectural and decorative elements while enlivening it with a very contemporary feel. Mission accomplished: Now, this unique apartment is the epitome of utter sophistication and understated luxury. In the living room, the fascinating geometry of the space is mirrored by the softly curved furniture. The semicircular side, embellished on the outside by an original Art Deco-style railing, embraces the perfectly arranged sitting area.

The geometric motifs of the Zenith rug by DLM create a visual interplay with the pattern of the herringbone parquet flooring. At the center, a trio of small tables in dark metal adds a visual counterpoint to the warmer hues. The soft curves of a pair of Whisper armchairs by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance exude a sense of warm sophistication, embodying an unmistakable aesthetic idea of French chic. In the corner, a floor-to-ceiling light installation custom-made by Pouenat x Damien Langlois Meurinne stands as a sculptural artwork that casts a warm glow at night.

The master bedroom sets a different tone than the one in the living room. Soothing white palettes with just a touch of greige for the bespoke wall panel and headboard conjure a feel of serene, quiet luxury. Here we see different pieces from the same designers, including the graphic light pendants custom-made by Pouenat x Damien Langlois Meurinne flanking the bed. The striking desk, with its elaborate structure and uniquely shaped tapered legs, was specially designed by Damien Langlois Meurinne for this room: it’s a smaller iteration of the iconic Coming Over dining table. The desk is paired with an instant classic, the Sam chair, usually a favorite at dinner tables, but harmoniously fitting this more intimate décor too. Harmony is the key word here, with this seemingly unassuming daybed designed by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance. Its simple structure in wood is elevated by the curved contours of the upholstered backrest; inspired by the simple geometries of Japanese aesthetic, it adds a Zen-like touch to the already serene overall atmosphere.
