The exclusive Preferred Members’ Room at Sotheby’s London underwent a luxurious furniture makeover to celebrate the upcoming modern and contemporary auctions. Following the invitation by Helena Newman, Chairman, Sotheby’s Europe, The Invisible Collection team took over the space – famously renovated by architecture über-star Peter Marino in 2008- and furnished it with some of its iconic pieces.
The Invisible Collection founders Anna Zaoui and Isabelle Dubern, personally selected the pieces of furniture and objects on display, imbuing the Preferred Members’ Room with an elegantly curated feel. The arrangement in the room creates a harmonious and relaxed décor, graced with one-of-a kind armchairs, sofas and chairs, some darling coffee tables, and a couple of hand-woven luxurious rugs. The eye travels flawlessly on such display of exquisite taste and proportions, dazzled by the rich materials, the astonishing lines, the beautiful designs.
Anna Zaoui and Isabelle Dubern, both art and design collectors, found in this collaboration with Sotheby’s the perfect opportunity to express their informed taste by staging a unique setting where art and design can truly meet. It comes as no surprise that some of the contemporary furniture pieces presented in the Preferred Members’ Room, are bound to become tomorrow’s collectibles: what a better a way than discovering them today in one of the art collectors’ favorite auction houses?
Art lovers and collectors have the opportunity of relaxing between visits to exhibitions and thrilling sales, and enjoying some refreshments while discovering an artfully decorated space.
