Career. Architects Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boisser, a complementary pair, have made their different approaches an advantage. Patrick’s exacting standards, appreciation for the fine lines and essential nature of rare woods, was acquired working for Christian Liaigre. Dorothée brings to the partnership a sense of colour with an emotional sensitivity inherited from Starck.
Signature Style. An approach both timeless and creative, and which has brought them international recognition. Pure lines achieved through a masterfully decorative process are found at the heart of their furniture collection, restaurant and luxury hotel interiors be it for the Moncler boutiques, the Baccarat Hotel in New York City, the Café de l’Homme restaurant just below the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the magnificent decoration of the private Yatch M/Y Atlante.
They love. Bringing in artists and giving them a central role in reinterpreting local culture, in an artistic manner, for the projects that they work on all over the world.
Showstoppers. The murals frescos for which their projects are known: the French garden as interpreted by François Hourtin in an apartment in Milan, tattoo-style rampant nature as seen by Alex & Marine for the restaurant Hexagone in Paris, the abstract graphic designs of Alix Waline for the restaurant Kinugawa.
What’s up. The Ritz Carlton in New York, the mythical Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid, the Moncler flagship stores in Seoul and New York, the Ling Ling by Hakkasan restaurant – second restaurant of the Marrakech Mandarin Oriental, as well as numerous private projects in Hong Kong, New York, London and Saint-Moritz…
