The Art chair, designed by Charlotte Juillard, is intended for shining a light on a little-known material created with recycled plastics from packing supplies and food packaging.
The thick seat is an invitation to sit down and feel embraced by its astonishing shell. Some may see it as a work of art; some love its discreet, elegant style. Yet, nobody can fail to notice this astonishing design and its uncommon material. Art is a (small) comfortable armchair.
It consists of a bent recycled plastic shell, set on a steel structure. It is upholstered in recycled polyester fabric. The foam is 33% recycled.
NOMA pairs the expertise of recycling specialists with the exceptional know-how of French craftsmen, thus bringing new life to recycled materials without any environmental footprint. The transformed material becomes a new, raw material in its own right; its aesthetic potential, magnified by the talent of top designers selected by NOMA to collaborate on specific projects. Unique colors and textures, unparalleled comfort and solidity: NOMA Editions' furniture and objects are timeless, elegant additions to any decor, meant to last.
