This piece was inspired from the need of an impactful formal cabinet which could be paired to stand either side of a chimney breast and yet be practical storage space at the same time. It is available as a storage cabinet with a natural sycamore interior. The Greek key motif in gold leaf laid into a groove set on a diagonal with a subtly contrasted natural background creates a classic yet dynamic impact.
Collett-Zarzycki are best known for a classic contemporary style, and have a natural tendency towards a formal approach to design. The practice believes that the design process should be an evolutionary one. They are therefore progressive, flexible, and innovative in their approach. This is built on the foundation of the knowledge of classical architecture: The designs for the buildings, environments and furniture respect the classical tradition and at the same time reflect contemporary styles and attitudes. They tackle projects sympathetically from conceptual ideas to implementation of architecture, interiors, unique furniture designs, as well as gardens and landscapes.
