Product Description

For their second collection, Raphaël Le Berre and Thomas Vevaud celebrate the unparalleled know-how of French craftsmanship through a series of exceptional designs.

The Empreinte collection stems from their shared passion for furniture, noble materials and craftsmanship; each piece of furniture created for the many private projects undertaken by the interior design duo.

This new collection finds unexpected connections between the modernist movements of the 1930s and more contemporary accents, weaving past and present into timeless designs.

Empreinte is marked by the pairing of contrasting textures, and feel: precious objects inspired by the brutalist aesthetic, designs that stand out for their astonishing palette of colors and timeless shapes. The collection is entirely produced in France.

Le Berre Vevaud

Le Berre Vevaud

Le Berre Vevaud is a design studio created in 2008 by two friends, Raphaël Le Berre and Thomas Vevaud . Raphaël, a Penninghen and Camondo graduate, began his career in New York and then worked for Amar Studio in Paris. After training at the Louvre and at Camondo School, Thomas worked for Gilles and Boissier and subsequently for François Champsaur. Together, they have designed an array of projects including private and commercial properties. They create elegant spaces with a great sense of detail and a taste for beautiful materials and handmade products. The furniture designed by Raphaël and Thomas is an example of their comprehensive approach to interior design practices, inspired by their shared passion for noble materials and craftsmanship. Drawing their inspiration from the work of Luis Barragán and Gio Ponti, Raphaël and Thomas create elegant interiors suffused with subtle Art Deco reminiscences. Favoring pure lines, and simple, comfortable shapes, Raphaël and Thomas mix precious woods with lacquered, spalted, waxed materials, sometimes enhanced by the addition of marble and lacquer, or on the contrary kept in their raw state. Given the infinite combinations of materials and colors,  Le Berre Vevaud designs are mostly tailor-made.
