Alexandre Athané is a director, animator and illustrator. He works mostly in Paris, New-York and London. After drawing for the international press, he directed in 2006 his first short movie, Zoé Melody, in traditional animation (more than 10,000 hand-made drawings) in collaboration with Marco Prince as the musical coordinator. In 2015, he signed his second animated film, L’espace d’un instant, which he directed, draw and colored by hand, image by image, with Pierre Richard’s voice and Alex Beaupain’s original music. For the cinema, he created visual effects and film credits (Mignonnes de Maïmouna Doucouré, Max de Stéphanie Murat, Jalouse de David & Stéphane Foenkinos, Aimer boire et chanter d’Alain Resnais, Aurore de Blandine Lenoir,…). From experiences, he established his own company, The Singing Plant Company, to develop his future projects.
