“This is my feel-good corner, the last thing I see before closing my eyes and falling asleep. All the objects gathered here remind me of people who are very dear to me. There is my grandfather’s self-portrait, the painter Pierre-Ludovic Dumas, and there is a bas-relief sculpture by Jean-René Debarre, which comes from the Yves Saint-Laurent/Pierre Bergé collection: I was so fortunate to be able to buy it… Most of all, I was extremely fortunate to work with Yves and Pierre for many years, I learnt so much from them. The other painting I love is by Jean Degottex, it’s dated 1957, my birth year, and it’s probably the first work of art I bought, my first act as an art collector. Last but not least, my family pictures: my wife, my children and my mother… At the end of the day, it’s always, and forever, about family.”
